Our experienced management team is fully focused on advancing Mercuria Thermal projects. Together, they’ve developed and managed major power generation partnerships around the world—covering everything from project design and development to financing and execution.
With a track record that spans billions in investments and multiple gigawatts of clean and conventional energy projects, they bring deep industry expertise and a passion for building the energy solutions of tomorrow.
Martin Parizek
Managing Director
Martin is responsible for commercial strategy, the origination of projects, and overseeing the project development activities for Peak Reliability. He has more than 20 years of experience developing and managing energy infrastructure assets in the U.S. and Latin America.
Before forming Peak Reliability with Ed, Martin was MD for market development at GE Capital, VP of Asset Management at CPV, and Country manager for OPDE. Martin holds a master’s degree in construction and project finance from the University of Southern California, and a B.S. in electrical and mechanical engineering from the National University of Córdoba, Argentina where he also completed graduate studies in power markets.
Edward Torres
Managing Director
Ed is Responsible for commercial execution and project development activities. He has more than 20 years of experience in project development, M&A, and project financing in the US and Latin America.
Before forming Peak Reliability, Ed had multiple project development roles with GE Capital, Invenergy, and Wartsila. Ed holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Universidad Metropolitana and MBA from Haskayne School of Business.
Hong Durandal
Director
Before joining Mercuria Thermal, Hong held key roles at Invenergy, EDP Renewables, and Zelestra, where he helped advance major energy initiatives from early‑stage development through financial close. He holds a B.S. in Business Administration from Berea College and an M.S. in Economics and Public Policy from the University of Chicago.
